James' goal at Downing Street Dental is to build a patient-centered dental experience for people in the Denver area. James wants to change people’s opinions about what going to the dentist can be like and improve the standards of care that people expect from a dentist’s office.

About Dr. McLain

Dr. McLain became a dentist because he likes working with his hands and loves helping people.

It’s important to Dr. McLain that every patient who walks through our door has the best possible experience and leaves happy enough to recommend us to their friends. The care we provide to everyone is nothing short of what we would want for ourselves. Dr. McLain believes that if he takes great care of his patients, the business side of his practice will take care of itself.

At Downing Street Dental in Denver, we provide general dental services to patients of all ages who visit our practice. We specialize in cosmetic and emergency dental services. Improving people's smiles, boosting their self-confidence, and taking care of families as they grow is extremely rewarding - and something we are really good at.

Beyond general dental care, Dr. McLain and his staff provide cosmetic services such as veneers and whitening, and restorative care like fillings, crowns, and bridges. We treat patients of all ages and particularly enjoy taking care of kids' teeth and helping them start healthy habits at a young age. Whenever necessary, we provide emergency services to patients in need and can help alleviate any tooth pain quickly.

Many of our regular patients first found us because they were in extreme pain, needed immediate help and saw that we offer emergency services. We know from their return visits that we provide great care because they keep coming back and don’t have anxiety about visiting us.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Dr. McLain enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, two kids, and their two Mastiffs. When he’s not home, you can find him doing modified crossfit, snowboarding, and hunting for great live concerts.

He's passionate about providing state-of-the-art care and staying on top of the latest technologies and therapies so he can offer them to his patients. To do that, he commits himself to dozens of hours of continuing education every year.
